Violin, Viola, Cello Lessons

Want to learn violin, viola, or cello? How this works:

We offer violin, viola, or cello lessons at our studio. Violin students can start as young as age 5, and parents will need to help with proper posture, positioning, and practice at home. Many students choose to start with piano lessons, to learn the basics of music first, but others jump into the violin first. What matters most is the student’s excitement and passion for the instrument. If they are committed to practice, they will be successful!

The viola looks similar to the violin, but it’s very different! The cello is a much larger instrument with a beautiful sound.

You can often rent a string instrument from a local store, so you can keep upgrading the instrument, as the student grows. Rental programs are usually about $25 per month and sometimes you can participate in a rent-to-own program that helps you own your instrument eventually!

Advanced students can audition for the orchestra and gain the benefit of playing in a group!

We care about your musical interests

Loving the music you play is essential to a good violin, viola, or cello learning experience. That is why our teachers will always strive to help you learn the style and types of music you love to make the music come alive in your lessons and practice.  And if you don’t have one style or type of music you love, our teachers will help you discover it!

Good technique starts here

While emphasizing the style of music you love is important, good technique is vital to success playing violin, viola, or cello. We will always work to make sure that all of our guitar students are not only enjoying their lessons but learning the “right” way so they can be a successful musician the rest of their life.

Yes. Even if you don’t have a musical background you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice. By simply monitoring that they are doing exercises a certain number of times per day the student will progress. Parents will occasionally sit in on their child’s music lesson to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound or how the student should be positioning their hands.
